On April 24, 2014, I came across John L. Stavola’s obituary in the Record newspaper. I found his name on the list of original Wall Unit names at Hackensack High school honoring those who served during World War II.

There is a John T. Stavola who’s name is also listed on the Original Wall Unit and on the 1946 Yearbook dedication page listing his name with those who had died during their service, but I do not know their relationship to one another as of July 25, 2014.
